Substation Physical Engineer

We are currently looking for a Substation Physical Engineer with 0 to 5 years of experience. Duties Assist with creating/modifying detailed designs for Substation: Control building (relay panels, facilities, cable raceways, trays, etc.) Busbar and strain bus Equipment & support structures Assembly drawings Cables and connectors Lightning protection and lighting Grounding grid Conduit and trenches Perform basic calculations such as: Grounding Lighting and lightning Cable ampacity Tray sizing Trench sizing Conduit sizing Assist project manager to develop scope of work and conceptual design for the projects; Communicate and coordinate project activities with project manager, client, and others as needed; Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of one's work; Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or Civil is preferred. 0 to 5 years of experience in Substation Physical design. Willing to pursue PE license in NY and NC. Desired knowledge of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards used in designing substations. Periodic travel, ability to visit project sites. Salary Range: $60,000 - $86,000 per year The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
