Edna, TX Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity. Rhino Medical is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a part-time locum tenens assignment in Edna, Texas. This Level IV Trauma facility offers a low-volume ED setting with a collaborative family practice team and full lab and imaging support. 6 ER Beds in a Level IV Trauma facility
Patient Volume: ~300 per month (~10/day)
Trauma Mix: 20% Trauma, 15% Pediatric, 25% Geriatric
ICU: Not available
Lab & X-Ray available 24/7
CT available 24/7; MRI available 1x/week
Clinical Team Structure
Staff Includes: 2 Family Practice Physicians, 1 Pediatrician, 4 Nurse Practitioners
Independent environment with multidisciplinary team support
Low-acuity ED with external transfer options in place
Schedule & Shift Info
Part-time coverage model
Flexible weekday/weekend scheduling
Consistent shift cadence available upon request
Candidate Requirements
Active Texas Medical License & Unrestricted DEA
ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
Minimum 9 trauma-related CMEs/year
ABEM/AOBEM preferred; FM/IM with ED experience accepted
3rd Year Emergency Medicine Residents welcome
