Join a respected oilfield manufacturing company in North Houston known for its precision engineering and advanced machining capabilities. This position offers a chance to work with state-of-the-art CNC equipment, producing high-tolerance components that meet the demanding standards of the energy sector.
Job Highlights
Pay: $36/hour and up (based on experience and proficiency)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Night Shift)
Location: North Houston, TX

Responsibilities
Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for complex components using G-code and CAM software (such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to define machining strategy and tooling requirements.
Set up and prove out CNC programs on multi-axis lathes and mills, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Conduct first-article inspections and verify output against design tolerances.
Collaborate with machinists and process engineers to improve program efficiency, reduce cycle times, and extend tool life.
Maintain documentation for all part programs, tooling setups, and process changes according to internal standards.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience in a production machining or precision manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software.
Hands-on experience with CNC lathe and mill setup and operation.
Advanced knowledge of tool selection, cutting parameters, and material behavior (steel, stainless, Inconel, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T callouts, and machining specifications.
Experience with multi-axis and live tooling equipment preferred.
Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts (5 PM – 5 AM) and maintain consistent attendance.
