Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
to perform Nuclear Med/CT exams, PET exams, and all other related duties. Key Responsibilities: Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Performs exams following established procedures for patient care and safety Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials Prepares and injects radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures Processes diagnostic imaging procedures and records radiopharmaceutical administration to patients Receives and records appropriate information regarding receipt of radioactive material and pharmaceuticals Requests and coordinates all necessary patient information including medical chart and charges Prepares contrast media Ensures equipment is in working order; Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor Logs radiologic procedures completed; Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed Maintains examination rooms; Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies Performs quality assurance procedures on the equipment Maintains strictest confidentiality Other projects/responsibilities as may be assigned periodically by direct supervisor Education and Training: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program and/or Bachelor's degree in relevant field Opportunity to cross-training to CT Experience: Minimum two years' experience in nuclear medicine Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Full-time Requirements: Registered by either the ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certifying Board (NMTCB) Willing to cross-train to CT Nebraska Medical Radiographer License preferred Must meet continuing education requirements for specialty field Current CPR certification Physical/Mental Demands: Combination of sedentary, walking, lifting, bending, reaching activities Requires normal vision range and absence of color-blindness Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; may need to transfer patients up to 300 pounds Performs complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge Occasional stress from balancing multiple demands
