Retail Associate The Retail Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, achieving sales goals, maintaining a clean store environment, and communicating the Goodwill mission.
Provide excellent service and engage with customers and donors in a friendly manner.
Perform accurate POS and cash handling procedures.
Communicate our Mission and uphold our values (Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence).
Receive and record donations using technology.
Sort, clean, process, and price donated goods according to company standards.
Merchandise and maintain the sales floor.
Maintain a safe environment by following safety policies and procedures.
Load and unload trucks and perform cleaning and janitorial tasks.
Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Education & Experience
Basic English reading, speaking, and writing skills.
Ability to operate cash registers and technology necessary for the role.
Ability to share Goodwill’s purpose and request donations.
Ability to work with a diverse team.
Retail and sales experience is helpful.
Punctuality and dependable attendance.
Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
Understanding of Goodwill’s philosophy and participation in its mission.
Adherence to Goodwill’s values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
