All MRI Technologists at Cleveland Clinic are eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to

$5,000

and work evening + on‑call shifts that may vary between 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedure.

Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart, and requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination.

Verify and validate patient screening safety form.

Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.

Perform venipunctures and maintain competencies.

Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exam.

Ensure patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.

Assist with scheduling of patients.

Administer proper contrast to patients having MRI exam.

Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS.

Complete after‑hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.

Immediately report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.

Maintain available equipment uptime at the highest level for patient accessibility.

Process billing via RIS.

Instruct and mentor new hires and radiology students.

Learn new technical information and skills.

Attend in‑service programs and professional affiliation sessions.

Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.

Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), R.T.(S)(ARRT), R.T.(T)(ARRT), or R.T.(N)(ARRT) in good standing, or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire.

Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities.

Physical Requirements

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
