Job Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
Administer union payroll functions by interpreting and implementing collective bargaining agreements.
Ensure compliance with California labor laws, including prevailing wage, overtime, and break regulations.
Maintain and optimize payroll systems to ensure seamless integration with accounting platforms.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with HR, accounting, and union representatives.
Requirements
Apply expert knowledge of payroll processes in a unionized environment.
Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
Prepare accurate payroll reports and support internal and external audits.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
Adapt to evolving payroll regulations and system upgrades with agility.
Qualifications
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Possess 5–7 years of payroll experience, including union payroll administration.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in construction accounting software and payroll systems.
Understand California labor laws and collective bargaining agreements in depth.
Maintain CPP or FPC certification or show strong intent to obtain one.
