Company Summary A nationally recognized Engineering Firm is looking to grow their renewable energy team! The Renewable Energy Team provides comprehensive engineering services for solar, wind, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects. They support clients through all phases—from feasibility and permitting to design and construction—ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence. The team integrates civil, electrical, environmental, and regulatory expertise to deliver efficient, turnkey solutions. Their work spans utility-scale and distributed energy systems, including microgrids and fleet electrification. They are looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Electrical Engineer!
Responsibilities
Conduct electrical studies for utility-scale PV systems, including load flow, short circuit, grounding, arc flash, and protection coordination.
Support electrical design of solar and BESS projects, including DC/AC layouts, inverter configurations, and interconnection planning.
Utilize modeling tools like ETAP, SKM, PVSyst, and PSCAD to develop and validate technical analyses.
Prepare technical documentation, including one-line diagrams, equipment specs, and interconnection filings with utilities and ISOs/RTOs.
Collaborate across disciplines, contribute to proposals, mentor junior engineers, and ensure quality of electrical deliverables.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a PE license preferred or in progress.
7+ years of experience in electrical power systems, including PV design and power studies.
Strong knowledge of codes and standards, including utility interconnection, IEEE, and NEC.
Proficient in power systems modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, PVSyst, or PSCAD.
Excellent communication skills and experience with MV collection and grid interconnection design.
