Valtex LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Estimator / Contracts Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This dual-role position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project contracts, and coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and project managers throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Review architectural plans, specifications, and bid documents to define scope, materials, and labor requirements. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for material pricing and labor quotes. Assist with preconstruction planning, budgets, and proposal development. Draft, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and change orders. Track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring compliance throughout the lifecycle. Partner with project managers to monitor progress, identify risks, and pursue cost-saving opportunities. Maintain organized project documentation and ensure contract compliance. Contribute to process improvements and the development of standardized estimating templates. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and / or contract management. Bilingual in English and Spanish are strongly preferred. Proven ability to perform detailed commercial takeoffs and cost estimating. Proficiency with STACK Takeoff Software, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools. Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and contract language. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management platforms (, , Procore). Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced setting. Preferred Skills
Experience with federal or Davis-Bacon projects. Familiarity with OCIP / CCIP insurance programs and public project compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with field and office teams. Benefits
