Systems Control is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Co‑op to become a part of our Integrated Substation Solutions team – January‑May 2026. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Co‑op, you will support Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Teams in our world‑class facility. A Day In The Life
Work with Project Management and Drafting to design products.
Create standard drawings.
Assist in design verification testing, documentation, and reporting.
Provide manufacturing support for specific customers and/or production areas.
Assist in implementing design changes and communicate requirements to all impacted groups.
Identify potential improvements to products.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Pursuing a B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Completed 4+ Semesters preferred.
Experience using 3D modeling software (Creo preferred), 2D AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics, Strengths of Materials, Welding, and other manufacturing processes.
Must be a team player, creative, and have strong hands‑on mechanical knowledge.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
