We are looking for a Spring 2026 (January–May) Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer Co-op to join our low-voltage switchgear team as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas.
This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation.
Responsibilities
Analyzing current assembly, scheduling, and production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Collaborating with production, planning, and manufacturing engineering teams to gather insights and understand daily challenges.
Designing and implementing streamlined workflows that enhance throughput and optimize resource use.
Developing and maintaining visual management systems (dashboards, trackers, MES visibility tools) to support real-time decision-making.
Monitoring the impact of implemented improvements and adjusting strategies to ensure sustainable performance gains.
Documenting processes, creating training materials, and supporting the adoption of new practices.
Qualifications
Rising juniors, rising seniors, and master’s students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, or related programs.
Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co‑op.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Interest in process improvement, production planning, and manufacturing operations.
Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration.
Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm) from January 2026 to May 2026.
Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation and be located within 50 miles of Grand Prairie, TX as this role does not provide housing or relocation support.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
