Job Summary Under supervision, responsible for complex plans, investigations, surveys, and problem-solving involving equipment, systems, and projects within the electrical substation domain. Employ extensive engineering knowledge to devise solutions, oversee project phases, and manage technical teams.
Main Responsibilities
Train and develop employees, assessing skills and setting up equipment and testing training programs.
Provide technical and supervisory support in the field and lab, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to procedures.
Support storm response, outage management, and emergency situations, including mobile substation and transformer testing.
Develop training guides, evaluate new equipment, and monitor industry trends to improve safety and efficiency.
Visit job sites to ensure contractor compliance, analyze test data, and recommend repairs or replacements.
Assist with factory visits, quality inspections, and employee progression testing.
Represent the company professionally and support software development for testing and project management.
Qualifications
Four-year college degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Seven to ten years of relevant experience.
Union experience and project management skills, with ability to lead teams.
Professional Engineering License preferred or recognized as a Subject Matter Expert.
