Summary The Billing Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations. This position is responsible for analyzing billing data, managing purchase orders and client portals, and leading the invoice process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working cross‑functionally to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Monitors discrepancies and implements process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy. Supports the Finance team, eligible for a hybrid schedule with 2‑3 days in‑office or on‑site per week, based in the North Dallas office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures timely, accurate, and complete billing of various lines of business, including invoicing of complex invoices from systems and departments.
Performs billing and variance analysis and provides results to internal customers.
Resolves invoicing discrepancies and implements improvements to enhance billing processes.
Collaborates with IT or finance teams to implement system changes.
Manages the final invoicing process by reviewing and validating billing data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with client contracts and internal policies.
Oversees the management of purchase orders, including tracking and reconciliation.
Maintains and navigates client portals to ensure accurate documentation and billing alignment.
Collaborates with internal and external customers to resolve PO‑related issues and ensure timely processing.
Provides support for special projects and initiatives related to billing and revenue operations.
Aligns billing activities with project milestones by collaborating closely with Project and Finance Accountants, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely revenue recognition.
Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting departmental goals.
Delivers exceptional customer service and collaboration across teams.
Works with Accounts Receivable to reconcile client accounts and ensure timely application of payments and billing adjustments.
Education & Experience
3‑5 years of billing and reporting experience.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience required.
Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Experience with SAP preferred.
Experience with NetSuite preferred.
Ad‑hoc reporting experience.
