Position Overview We are seeking a Vehicle Feature Validation Engineer to lead end-to-end validation of automotive features across Body, Chassis, and Electrical domains. The role involves developing and executing test plans, performing gap analyses, supporting vehicle builds, and ensuring robust validation coverage to meet program milestones. This position requires collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure software quality, functionality, and integration across vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead validation efforts by conducting gap analyses and developing comprehensive test strategies.
Track and manage software versions for electrical modules across Body, Chassis, and Electrical systems.
Collaborate with development, validation, and release teams to assess test requirements and ensure feature testability.
Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans in TestRail, ensuring traceability to project requirements and milestones.
Perform vehicle software updates, establish baselines, and configure systems for validation activities.
Design and implement feature‑specific test cases based on data analysis, DVMs, and system requirements.
Execute in‑vehicle validation and regression testing across multiple programs, model years, and configurations.
Document and track validation results, defects, and progress using Jira, Confluence, and internal reporting tools.
Prepare and deliver Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) documentation for each software release.
Support vehicle configuration, module installation, and diagnostic updates as part of validation tasks.
Communicate testing progress, issues, and risk assessments to project leaders and stakeholders.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Junior: 2–3 years of experience in automotive feature validation or system testing.
Intermediate: 3+ years of experience.
Senior: 5+ years of experience.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architectures, diagnostics, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Proficiency with TestRail, Jira, and Confluence.
Experience with vehicle validation tools, software flashing, and data acquisition systems.
Knowledge of DVM/DVP&R processes and system‑level verification.
Soft Skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation abilities.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross‑functional, fast‑paced environments.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
