We’re growing fast and seeking an
Accounts Receivable & Customer Support Specialist
with a passion for precision, teamwork, and service. If you’re energized by solving problems, improving processes, and building great relationships, you’ll feel right at home here. You’ll work closely with division leaders and the Controller, supporting all IPC locations (3 in Indiana and 1 in Pennsylvania). Our accounting team is integrated, collaborative, and fully engaged with the business — not siloed away in “corporate.”
Key Responsibilities Billing & Invoicing Excellence
Prepare and process timely, accurate invoices for both the Mulch and Pallet divisions.
Reconcile PalleTrack data with Traverse to ensure billing accuracy.
Validate and reconcile Bills of Lading (BOLs) to confirm details match invoicing.
Maintain organized and timely filing of invoices and related records.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of customer statements.
Payment Application & Reconciliation
Ensure timely and accurate application of customer payments (cash, check, credit card, and EFT).
Reconcile customer accounts to ensure balances are up to date and discrepancies are resolved quickly.
Collections & Customer Communication
Notify customers of skipped or outstanding invoices identified during payment processing.
Lead communication with all Mulch customers and designated Pallet customers regarding billing, payments, and account questions.
Contribute to effective collections efforts while maintaining professionalism and positive relationships.
Sales Support & Collaboration
Partner with the sales team to ensure smooth new customer setups and complete documentation.
Serve as a direct point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely updates and accurate information.
Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline processes.
Process Improvement & Documentation
Help develop, document, and refine processes that support IPC’s continued growth and efficiency.
Create and maintain a detailed desk manual that explains not only how tasks are done, but why — building understanding and consistency across the team.
Assist with the implementation of PalletConnect and other system improvements to drive accuracy and productivity.
Skills Needed To Win
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1–2 years of accounting or AR experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Clear and effective communication skills — both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Experience with Traverse, PalleTrack, or similar ERP/accounting software preferred.
