AdventHealth Polk The role you’ll contribute: Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations and procedures in accordance with physician orders, regulatory guidelines, and departmental protocols. Additionally, this position performs advanced procedures such as localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and seed implants. This role ensures patient comfort and safety, provides accurate imaging for interpretation by radiologists, and maintains compliance with MQSA and ACR standards while supporting a positive patient experience. The value you’ll bring to the team: Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed. Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion. Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements. Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps. Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows. The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equivalent [Required] 1+ years experience in Mammography [Required] 1+ years experience performing stereotactic core biopsies [Required] 1+ years experience performing breast needle localizations [Required] Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Registered Mammographer (RTMARRT) [Required] American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) [Required]
