Overview S2 Global, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to work in its Fort Lauderdale, FL office. S2 Global is the leading provider of security screening solutions and has extensive experience in program assessment, technology deployment, operation management, image analysis, and maintenance services at major events, ports, land borders, and air cargo facilities. Focused on Operations, Integration, and Training, S2 Global’s solutions ensure that customers have advanced technologies and sophisticated techniques to significantly increase their screening capabilities.

We are seeking exceptional candidates who possess a blend of technical and customer-facing skills to successfully support the deployments of CertScan Integration Platform Software for new product launches and existing upgrades. This role will require a unique combination of flexibility, troubleshooting, creativity, leadership skills, and collaboration among development, testing, and IT infrastructure teams. As part of this highly visible team, candidates have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple S2 Global teams to ensure successful deployments.

In this role, you will apply technical and functional subject matter expertise to resolve complex and critical configuration issues, develop and utilize integration processes and tools, and drive new product integration. Successful candidates will possess strong problem solving, customer obsession, ownership, process design, leadership, technical learning capability, and the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. This role requires a strong passion for cutting-edge technology and a desire to drive long-term improvements through collaboration with many teams including Engineering and Operations.

Responsibilities

Support in all phases of the SDLC within an AWS DevOps environment.

Prepare and produce releases of software components.

Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Travel to customer and company locations for deployments, testing, and meetings as required.

Report quality problems or defects to a manager or senior management for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. MS degree preferred.

1+ years of proven hands‑on software development support experience.

Strong technical problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Proven working experience in Java and .Net development.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high‑priority tasks simultaneously.

Capability to lead complex technical discussions with a variety of groups, including Software and Systems Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management.

Knowledge and/or working experience with Cloud and Open Source technologies like Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), AWS and Microsoft Cloud and Windows applications.

Knowledge and/or working experience deploying software stacks of a high‑availability system, such as containers, microservices, and Docker/Kubernetes.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause, drive improvements, and preventive measures.

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Demonstrated ability to document standard operating process and deploying/troubleshooting guides.

Travel up to or more than 50% (National or International).

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Have had or can obtain a US Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and/or working experience with Relational Database Management Systems (MS SQL Server, PostGreSQL, MySQL, etc.).

Knowledge and/or working experience with networking and Product IT.

Familiarity with AWS, S3, E2C or other cloud technologies.

Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following additional areas:

Coding Languages (Javascript, Java, C# .Net, C++)

Networking Technologies (TCP/IP, DNS)

Microsoft .Net C#

MVC

Entity Framework

JQuery Bootstrap javascript

Angular JS

ReactNative JS

User Interface design

WebAPI web services
