Masis Professional Group has partnered with a manufacturer that specialized in developing and manufacturing hydrogen fuel cells and other innovative energy and we are seeking an EHS Manager.
Our mission is to accelerate a carbon-free energy future by delivering a full spectrum of reliable and cost-effective hydrogen solutions. We seek to be at the forefront of the hydrogen revolution through the development of next-generation technologies for clean hydrogen production and clean fuel cell solutions for land and maritime transportation. Our current product line-up ranges from electrolyzers for scalable green hydrogen production and fuel cells for stationary and mobility applications.
We are located in South Windsor, CT. We are seeking local candidates within a commutable proximity (preferred).
Job Information Management and leadership of all EH&S programs and issues to assure the protection of employees from industrial accidents, occupational and environmental hazards, and fire. Responsible for Plant and Field Safety. Manage and oversee the variety of safety issues, programs, and concerns including the accident investigation process and proceedings, Company's and compliance-driven safety training, coordination to conclusion of site safety audits, administration and delivery of the site hazard recognition program, equipment inspections, corporate reporting requirements, and full compliance with local, state and federal requirements. Develop and drive implementation and continuation of the Company's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy and incident/accident/injury-free work environment.
Role & Responsibility
Assure completion of safety site audits and timely report outs to Senior Leadership, with full analysis and sound recommendations.
Conduct or oversee hazard analyses for all new products and processes, with focus on the future.
Provide strategic direction, guidance and leadership to the EH&S team and business leaders on safety issues, requirements and trends.
Conduct periodic, scheduled safety meetings and training sessions.
Develop and deploy regular, periodic e-communications to the workforce regarding safety-focused current issues and timely matters.
Develop and carry-out a powerful EH&S Management System (EHSMS).
Continually develop a safety focused culture.
Create and update internal safety and environmental practices and procedures.
Conduct routine site audits for all field service sites, primarily in New England, but including all domestic units as well.
Support the development and implementation of EHS Policies and Procedures, specifically for field services.
Planning for a potential 24/7 operation.
Job Requirements - Education & Experience
BA/BS with 10+ years of experience.
MA/MS with 7+ years of experience.
PhD with 4+ years of experience.
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred. Degree in Environmental Sciences or Industrial Hygiene preferred.
Provides cross-functional guidance and expertise.
Provides tactical and strategic direction for EH&S systems, projects and programs.
Solid organizational and communications skills.
