Job Description We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer who can deliver reliability, performance, and security at scale. This role blends deep technical mastery with mentorship and architectural influence. You’ll design and support modern hybrid networks across Fortinet, Meraki, and Azure and serve as the final escalation point for critical issues that require precision and persistence to resolve. If you thrive on solving complex problems, mentoring others, and ensuring the network never lets the business down, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities Network Architecture & Engineering

Design, deploy, and optimize secure, scalable network solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments (Fortinet, Meraki, Azure).

Engineer SD‑WAN topologies, site‑to‑site VPNs, routing, and segmentation strategies for 650+ connected locations.

Build and maintain Azure networking components (VNets, routing, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Azure Firewall) while contributing to ongoing architectural discussions.

Serve as the network fixer of last resort, leading advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across all layers.

Operations & Reliability

Maintain network performance, uptime, and availability across all locations.

Leverage FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and enterprise monitoring platforms (LogicMonitor, SolarWinds) to track performance and detect anomalies.

Automate and document repeatable processes to increase consistency and reduce manual intervention.

Drive operational excellence through ITIL‑aligned change, incident, and problem management practices.

Security & Compliance

Enforce security best practices, segmentation, and zero‑trust principles across the network edge and core.

Manage firewall policies, VPN configurations, and SD‑WAN routing in coordination with Security and Cloud teams.

Support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies with network resiliency and redundancy planning.

Collaboration & Mentorship

Mentor and support junior network engineers, providing guidance on troubleshooting, documentation, and project delivery.

Partner closely with Infrastructure peers (Server, Cloud, Security) to ensure seamless integration of network dependencies.

Participate in design reviews and provide architectural input for upcoming infrastructure initiatives.

Vendor & Partner Management

Collaborate with ISPs, carriers, and network vendors for circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalation management.

Evaluate new hardware, software, and connectivity solutions that enhance stability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Strategic Initiatives

Support ongoing modernization efforts including SD‑WAN expansion, Azure network growth, and network automation.

Assist in integrating newly acquired shops and regions into the enterprise network with minimal disruption.

Identify and eliminate technical debt through standardization, documentation, and lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of progressive network engineering experience in enterprise‑scale environments.

Expert‑level hands‑on experience with Fortinet FortiGate (SD‑WAN, VPNs, advanced routing, security fabric).

Solid experience with Meraki and Fortinet switching solutions.

Deep understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, routing, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall).

Advanced troubleshooting and packet analysis skills across multi‑vendor environments.

Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and configuration management tools (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, SolarWinds, LogicMonitor).

Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and structured change management processes.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
