Drive adoption of improved processes, tools, and cultural practices for data stewardship.

Serve as a bridge between business functions, research scientists, IT, and data governance groups.

Develop working expertise in research data systems (e.g., ELN, LIMS, compound registration, SDMS, data catalogs).

Demonstrate familiarity with both internal and external sources of data (e.g., CROs).

Support scientific teams with implementation, configuration, and integration of these systems.

Provide training, documentation, and day‑to‑day guidance for system users.

Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with IT/vendors to resolve problems quickly.

Monitor data quality across systems, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.

Implement best practices for metadata capture, versioning, lineage, provenance, and traceability.

Ensure data processes support reusability for analytics, AI/ML, and regulatory submissions.

Ability to quickly learn new informatics tools and help others adopt them effectively.

Strong communication skills to work across scientific, business, and IT teams.

Preferred Skills

Experience supporting data systems implementations or upgrades in research environments.

Familiarity with APIs, data integration workflows, or scripting for data extraction/transformation (e.g., Python, SQL, R).

Knowledge of ontologies, controlled vocabularies, GUPRI, and scientific data modeling.

Experience with change management or process improvement methodologies.

Skilled in facilitating dialogue between stakeholders with differing priorities, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
