Underwriting Support consists of a team of production-oriented, customer-centric, problem-solving, detail-driven Account Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading, coaching, and developing production teams of five or more. IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff.
Builds effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
Drives engagement and creates a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
Conducts performance evaluations, coaching conversations, team meetings and individual one on one sessions with staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Must Have
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of leadership experience; or equivalent (defined as 7 years of relevant insurance experience).
Substantial understanding and knowledge of commercial insurance.
Vast knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures.
Solid technical background with hands on experience in rating and policy issuance platforms, as well as system testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels.
Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.

Preferred To Have
Prefer 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Assistant Underwriter supporting experience.
