The Ordnance Value Stream Leader (VSL) is responsible for leading all aspects of production within the Electronics Value Stream at PacSci Hollister. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe work environment, driving quality improvements, providing excellent customer service, maximizing shareholder value, developing a technically qualified workforce, and building a high‑performance culture through continuous improvements. The VSL oversees day‑to‑day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.
Responsibilities
Ownership of Value Stream revenue, cost, productivity, cost of quality, program performance, inventory management, customer scorecard performance and bid support.
Become an RBS champion and promote Ralliant’s shared purpose.
Provide strong cross‑functional leadership to enable the team to achieve positive operational performance.
Leverage RBS tools to establish standard work, solve problems, drive improvements, and define clear accountability.
Lead the assigned Value Stream processes (purchase to shipment) through daily management, including bid planning, demand planning, production planning, production control, manufacturing, engineering support, product test, design engineering, and inspection.
Build and support a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented, and safety requirements met.
Instill and maintain a positive, can‑do team atmosphere and support engagement, inclusivity, and diversity initiatives.
Ensure all team members are properly trained to perform assigned work and apply industry best practices for cross‑training.
Drive achievement of core KPIs: On‑time Delivery (OTD), Past‑Due Backlog reduction (PDBL), Deliver Linearity, DLU improvement, Revenue attainment, and Safety performance.
Qualifications
Experience with RBS or equivalent continuous improvement systems, with demonstrated results using Lean and/or Six Sigma.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Proven leadership in a team‑lead role for at least 2 years, or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs.
Demonstrated teamwork and team‑building skills, with a track record of meeting organizational objectives and fostering enthusiasm for new goals.
Education & Experience
B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline, or equivalent professional experience with 6+ years, and the ability to perform the responsibilities described.
Compensation Salary range: $89,200.00 – $165,600.00 (local currency). This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
