Overview
Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager/Principal (Design) — Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC). Located in Houston, TX. This role involves client and project management, including technical and financial management of projects, as well as business development. You will work with Principals in the Civil/Site Practice to build and maintain client relationships, understand client goals, and represent the company at conferences, events, and project meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. You will collaborate with CEC professionals locally and across the country to develop opportunities, build relationships, and apply best practices to address client needs. You will participate in project scheduling, team assembly, task assignment, and coordination across multiple practices, while mentoring junior and mid-level staff and conducting technical reviews of deliverables. Manage clients and projects, including technical and financial aspects, and contribute to business development. Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand and help clients achieve their goals. Represent the company at conferences, events, and project meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with Principals and other professionals to develop opportunities, build business relationships, and apply best practices to address client needs. Develop project schedules, assemble project teams, assign tasks, and coordinate with multiple practices. Maintain involvement throughout the design of the project; mentor junior and mid-level staff in planning, design, permitting, and execution. Conduct technical reviews of client deliverables. Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering 15+ years of experience Professional Engineering License (P.E.) Proficiency in computer modeling software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, etc. Ability and desire to mentor staff Ability to provide a technical review of Civil Engineering deliverables Ability to prepare proposals and manage project execution Ability to manage multi-discipline projects (e.g., survey, environmental, geotechnical, construction phase services) Ability to interface with clients, network, and develop business About Us
