Part-time Customer Experience Manager – Michaels Stores, Turlock, CA Join our team at Michaels Stores to deliver a customer centric shopping experience by managing front‑end operations and ensuring our Brand Promises. This part‑time role focuses on leading omnichannel processes, maintaining store recovery standards, and providing friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.

Ensure all front‑end policies and procedures are followed, achieve your KPIs and manage your team to meet their role KPIs.

Plan and lead the execution of class and in‑store events in accordance with company programs.

Lead omnichannel processes to support the full customer journey.

Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.

Assist with cash reconciliation and bank deposits.

Assist with inventory processes, including Return to Vendor (RTV) and Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) activities as needed.

Assist with onboarding of new team members.

Train, observe, and coach the customer experience team (sales floor and cashier) to achieve results; participate in performance management and support talent development.

Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts.

Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values, and serve as a role model.

Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.

Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.

Cross‑train in custom framing selling and production.

In select stores without a Framing Manager, lead delivery of high‑quality custom framing solutions by planning and managing framing workload in partnership with the Store Manager.

Qualifications Preferred retail management experience; strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to achieve KPIs and manage teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods.

Ability to move throughout the store.

Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.

Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required.

Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate‑controlled areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.

Occasional outdoor work retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.

Frame shop may involve glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Salary Base pay range: $17.50 – $23.00 per hour.
