Overview Reports to Manager, Data Architecture. The Data Engineer I assists in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures that support the healthcare system’s data initiatives. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to build on‑premise and cloud‑native solutions, ensuring that data systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure data pipelines.
Integrate and ingest data from clinical, financial, and third‑party sources.
Design, test, and develop ETL processes, maintaining data integrity.
Document data processes, tools, and pipelines for accessible data users.
Collaborate with data governance teams to support safer data handling practices.
Assist with cloud migration and data infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM‑related field or equivalent.
6 months of data engineering experience or equivalent.
Experience designing scalable data systems and working with large, complex datasets.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation Pay Range: $88,944.86 – $146,770.62

Work Type Monday – Friday 8:50 am to 5:00 pm (Day shift)
Physical Requirements Requires visual and manual dexterity to operate a computer. Remote position with option to travel to sites in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts as needed.
