Join Northrop Grumman as a Sentinel – Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Level 2/3). This position supports the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.
What You’ll Do
Source and procure a variety of commodities such as hardware components, COTS items, and machined components to support production programs.
Perform price analysis, negotiations, and enforce procurement policies and procedures, including FAR and DFARS.
Place and oversee procurement packages; initiate RFQs and RFPs and evaluate supplier pricing.
Evaluate and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and delivery schedules in collaboration with the quality organization.
Work with internal customers to ensure product specifications meet required services or products.
Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
Manage purchase order performance, ensuring compliance with public law requirements and company policies, including import/export regulations.
Review, reconcile, and approve supplier invoices and payments.
Interface and collaborate with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to achieve objectives.
Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and maintain organization and documentation for logistics, transportation, and warehouse functions.
Apply sound business practices and assess supplier performance during follow-up activities.

Job Qualifications Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in supply‑chain management, business/financial planning, contract administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing, or a closely related field; or a master’s degree with no experience; or 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience; or 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required for Both Levels
U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, etc.).
Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Leadership, critical thinking, and innovative supply‑chain project experience.
Nice to Have
Advanced Excel skills.
Supplier management experience covering cost, schedule, and quality.
Professional experience in regulated industries (Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications).
Familiarity with Critical Path Management, FAR, and DFARS.
Negotiation experience in a corporate setting.
Experience with government purchasing and contracting.
Data analysis for negotiation strategy development.
Administration of high‑value purchase orders and subcontracts.
Strong written and verbal communication in a global supply‑chain environment.
Salary Ranges:
Primary Level: $67,100 – $100,700
Secondary Level: $82,900 – $124,300
