Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager - external client-facing products will focus on products including MayoAccess, MayoLink, and mayocliniclabs.com. The S‑PM will work with all stakeholders to shape digital journeys that improve accessibility, satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The Senior Product Manager - Logistics and Automation will focus on sample logistics and automation. Success in this role requires a hands‑on, systems‑savvy product leader who can balance the demands of vendor management, internal engineering, robotics coordination, and laboratory pre‑analytic operations.

Both Senior Product Managers are responsible for driving the vision, strategy, business requirements, roadmap, and execution for assigned technology product. They advocate for the end‑user experience through data and research‑driven product discovery and development methods. They ensure alignment between Product, Business and Platform priorities in the context of Mayo Clinic’s overall strategy and goals, while ensuring the end‑user needs are met.

They oversee the entire life cycle of the assigned product, from defining and setting the vision, managing the team to hit OKRs, deriving feature intention maps, managing capacity against scope, building or acquiring technology, and ultimately creating a best‑in‑class user/customer experience, on time and within budget. They are accountable for the success of a cross‑functional team, including experts in design, engineering, analytics, marketing, and others. They help mentor Product Managers, proficient in agile product methodologies, responsible for driving the product strategy, vision, design and development execution. They lead a high‑performing cross‑functional team effectively, collaborate with business partners, customers, and other stakeholders such as engineering, UX/UI, operations, engagement, AI, etc., leverage market and customer feedback and data to inform and guide future product or feature development, and advocate for end‑users, building and improving features to make product technology and workflows easy to use. They proactively manage and monitor product and operational risks (regulatory, security, operational, etc.) to prevent and/or mitigate risks to the customer and business. They establish deep partnerships with business stakeholders to ensure product achieves business requirements and aligns with other organizational strategies and priorities, monitor and manage product schedules, scopes and budgets, manage external Mayo Clinic vendor and partnership relationships, set and manage product performance scorecards and OKRs, represent Mayo in a positive light with external partners and vendors, and work collaboratively across all CDH domains, business partners and Mayo Clinic Shared Services. They also collaborate with internal Mayo Clinic clients, including consultants, clinical and research professionals, administrators, and external business partners, and represent Mayo Clinic in interactions with vendors and non‑Mayo partners in a positive and constructive way.

Work is primarily completed remotely. However, the incumbent will need to occasionally be on the Rochester campus. Therefore the incumbent must live within a reasonable driving distance of the Rochester campus.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (engineering, technology, health care) and 3+ years of product management experience or master’s degree in Engineering or Management. Experience in managing complex products or a family of multiple products.
