Job Summary As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI and machine learning models to enhance the capabilities of our consumer electronics and IoT products. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to bring intelligent features to life. This role focuses on computer vision, vision‑language models (VLMs), large language models (LLMs), and building scalable AI serving infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize AI/ML models for edge computing and cloud‑based applications

Train, fine‑tune, and deploy vision‑language models (VLMs) for multimodal AI applications in pet care and IoT products

Develop and fine‑tune large language models (LLMs) for domain‑specific applications

Build and optimize model serving infrastructure for VLM/LLM inference using frameworks like vLLM

Work with large‑scale datasets to train, test, and validate AI models, including multimodal datasets (text, images, video)

Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to integrate AI models into embedded systems and mobile applications

Optimize AI algorithms for efficiency, power consumption, and real‑time performance in resource‑constrained environments

Implement batching, caching, quantization (INT8, INT4), and other optimization techniques to reduce inference costs

Stay updated with the latest AI/ML advancements and research to apply innovative solutions to our products

Develop and maintain documentation, including model architecture, training procedures, and performance benchmarks

Support the deployment and monitoring of AI models in production environments

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

2+ years of experience in AI/ML development, preferably in the consumer electronics or IoT industry

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++

Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers

Strong background in computer vision, deep learning, large language models (LLMs), or vision‑language models (VLMs)

Experience with LLM/VLM fine‑tuning techniques

Familiarity with model serving and inference optimization frameworks (vLLM, TensorRT, ONNX Runtime)

Experience with embedded AI and edge computing frameworks (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT)

Knowledge of data processing pipelines, model training, and hyperparameter tuning

Familiarity with cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI, Azure AI) and MLOps practices

Understanding of model compression techniques including quantization, pruning, and distillation

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing AI applications for smart home devices, wearables, or industrial IoT

Hands‑on experience with multimodal AI systems combining vision and language

Experience building production LLM/VLM serving infrastructure with high throughput and low latency requirements

Understanding of distributed training and inference for large models

Understanding of sensor fusion, signal processing, and real‑time analytics

Knowledge of AI ethics, privacy, and security considerations in IoT applications

Experience with deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
