Job Summary As a

Mechatronics Engineer , you will prototype mechatronics systems and bring them into production at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. You will design, develop, and iterate first‑of‑a‑kind prototypes in collaboration with software, electrical, and mechanical specialists.

What You’ll Do

Own hardware from concept generation to real‑world use at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and software.

Apply first‑principles physics to every design decision.

Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, and define and execute hardware test plans.

Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.

Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.

Travel to test sites as required.

Required Qualifications

Experience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings).

CAD skills on any platform and ability to produce high‑quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.

Hands‑on fabrication skills.

Rapid prototyping and bring‑up of robotic systems from mechanical design to sensing feedback and actuation.

Core electrical competency to drive electrical design, testing, and analysis.

Proficiency with scripting analysis and controls software.

High competence with engineering first principles.

BS, M.Eng., MS, or PhD in an engineering field.

U.S. Person status is required as this position must access export‑controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NX/Teamcenter.

Experience with algorithms for control and sensing.

Proficient use of Altium or equivalent.

Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.).

Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing.

Salary Range $191,000–$253,000 USD (estimation based on compensation factors; equity grants and benefits are part of the total package).
