Job Description We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Building Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll perform routine inspections, handle day‑to‑day repairs, and respond to service requests across all building systems—including electrical, plumbing, lighting, and structural needs.
What You’ll Do
Perform visual inspections and preventive maintenance across building systems
Handle light electrical work (replace bulbs, ballasts, etc.), plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
Program and maintain control systems
Conduct cleaning duties as needed
Respond quickly to emergency maintenance situations
Collaborate with the Property Manager and skilled vendors to resolve larger issues
Maintain compliance with safety codes and building regulations
Keep inventory and maintenance records organized and up to date
What You Bring
2+ years of hands‑on commercial, non‑residential building maintenance experience
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
General handyman skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry
Understanding of HVAC control panel
Ability to lift, bend, and work in various environmental conditions
Strong communication, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations
