Licensed Therapist Contractor – Remote – Veteran and Military Mental Health We are seeking remote 1099, Independent Contract Therapists to join our growing network supporting veterans, military members and their dependents. In this role the therapist will provide a full range of psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based treatment.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group interventions for patients coping with mental health diagnoses, psychosocial stressors, grief, and life transitions.

Conduct cognitive screening to address functional or cognitive ability concerns.

Deliver timely clinical assessment, collaborative care, and treatment for mental health symptoms or behavioral issues.

Complete psychosocial assessments to determine functioning and needs.

Apply knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses, medications, and terminology.

Follow suicide prevention guidelines and risk assessment documentation.

Provide DSM diagnosis to determine functioning and needs.

Offer emergency/crisis interventions and develop crisis management plans.

Deliver psychotherapy individually, in groups, or family interventions as indicated.

Maintain knowledge of veteran benefits, community resources, and referral processes.

Provide case management throughout the continuum of care.

Adhere to client regulations for documentation and encounter completion.

Requirements

Licensure: Licensed to practice independently in any state – Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW.

Psychologist: Must have PsyPact in addition to state license.

Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field, or a doctoral degree in psychology.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years practicing therapy independently.

Preferred: Experience with veterans and military members.

Experience in consultation on mental health diagnosis and treatment plans across disciplines.

Knowledge of DSM‑5 clinical presentations and brief evidence‑based interventions.

Knowledge of substance use disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and serious mental illness.

Experience with evidence‑based treatments and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Knowledge of risk assessment and crisis procedures; ability to lead interdisciplinary crisis teams.

Proficiency with at least one electronic health record system.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in the United States.

Training related to the management of suicide risk (e.g., CBT for Suicide Prevention)

Pay $70–$92 per hour, based on experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
