Donor Services Team Leader

in

Oldsmar, FL.

This position is responsible for ensuring the donor center and/or bloodmobile operates safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Oversee donor collection functions

Ensure all collections operations comply with LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

Oversee, direct and monitor all activities of staff

Properly complete and account for all paperwork, test tubes and blood associated with Donor Collections

Ensure quality control on all blood collection equipment is performed and records are maintained appropriately

Maintain stock supply in donor room

Display positive customer service skills to both internal and external customers

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

CPR Certification

Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements

Ability to multitask and prioritize

Strong interpersonal and team building skills

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Knowledgeable in a variety of computer software applications

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

One year of donor collections experience preferred

Previous supervisory experience preferred

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred

Who We Are LifeSouth is a non‑profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.

Our Mission To provide a safe blood supply that meets or exceeds the needs in each community we serve, and to provide a variety of services in support of ongoing and emerging blood and transfusion related activities.
