Job Summary
Position: Mid-level Network/Telecom Specialist (Infrastructure Specialist)
Employment Type: Full-time, onsite contract
Location: Raleigh, NC (fully onsite)
Pay Rate: $52.00 per hour
Industry Focus: Public health infrastructure (supports infectious disease case investigation/contact tracing)
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain network hardware and software, especially LANs/WANs, TCP/IP, and virtual machines
Install, configure, and administer network routers and switches
Install cabling, wiring, and telephony/data equipment
Manage and configure Java web applications (Apache Tomcat, Wildfly)
Support Linux & Windows clusters, systems administration, automation, and SAN management
Execute disaster recovery, backup, and archiving procedures
Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, database administration, and fault management
Required Qualifications
3-5 years' experience as Network Engineer, Network Analyst, or Infrastructure Specialist
Proven experience in network hardware/software design and maintenance
Hands‑on installation and administration of routers and switches
Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and fault management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BASH or shell scripting
Experience with Wildfly application management
Experience with MSSQL administration
Experience with VMware and Hyper‑V
Other Requirements
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required
Relevant technical experience (see above) required
Work location is in‑person (Raleigh, NC)
