Well established, locally owned construction company seeks an Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment maintaining the financial health of our company.
Base Pay Range $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Job Details This permanent accountant will manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and special analyses. The position requires proficiency in accounting and strong analytical skills in a construction industry environment.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of accounting: billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and special analyses.
Oversee payments of all accounts and ensure all accounts are paid on time.
Process accounts and collect payments.
Maintain accurate payroll records and payroll system.
Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
Coordinate with management on financial forecasting, budgeting, cost reduction strategies, and funding.
Analyze company financial results, generate regular status reports, and provide ad‑hoc reports to senior management.
Assist in producing accurate and timely financial statements.
Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives for the business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
2+ years of experience in a senior‑level finance or accounting position.
Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
Proficient user of finance software.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
