We are currently seeking an experienced OB/GYN Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity.

Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end billing process in the healthcare organization. This includes charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and patient billing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of OB/GYN billing experience, a strong working knowledge of Nevada payers, and demonstrated success in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement. A certified coder (CPC or equivalent) is helpful but not required, and experience with AthenaOne electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately enter and submit electronic and paper claims for OB/GYN services.

Review, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims; process appeals as needed.

Post insurance and patient payments and reconcile accounts daily.

Work with payers to ensure timely payment and compliance.

Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Collaborate with providers, coders, and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN medical billing experience required

Strong knowledge of all Nevada payers and state-specific billing policies

Experience with AthenaOne electronic health records (EHR) preferred

Proficiency with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for women’s health

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting

Strong written and verbal communication skills
