Imaging Application Analyst, Senior – IS Imaging Apps
Join USC CERPP (Center for Enrollment Research, Policy and Practice) as a Senior Imaging Application Analyst in Los Angeles, California. This exempt, full‑time position is an 8‑hour day role.
Responsibilities The Imaging Applications Analyst Sr is responsible for the design, implementation, validation, and support of multiple imaging applications (RIS, Radiology PACS, Cardiology PACS, Voice Dictation, Advanced Post Processing, RadOnc EMR, EKG/EEG, GI) and related ancillary systems. The Analyst ensures the design, configuration, integration, and user experience of these imaging applications meet business and clinical objectives.
Design, configure, validate, upgrade, and support enterprise‑wide Keck clinical imaging applications.
Provide off‑hour on‑call support and use independent judgment for full resolution.
Lead or assist with large‑scale development and implementation projects, including complex, inter‑departmental projects and operational initiatives.
Lead implementations, upgrades, and solution conversions in support of Keck clinical imaging applications.
Identify and troubleshoot application issues, including isolation of problems, recommendation of solutions, and implementation of solutions.
Conduct root‑cause analysis of issues and provide escalation support.
Support and test HL7 integration between Cerner EMR and all Imaging applications.
Work with clinicians and staff to understand clinical workflows and reported issues.
Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
Provide after‑hours and weekend support for a 24 x 7 system availability model.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Care Science, Business, or related field (or four years of related experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, testing, and supporting clinical imaging applications (e.g., Cerner RadNet, Fuji PACS/CV, PowerScribe 360, Varian Aria, Natus Xltek, Provation) or equivalent.
Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, IHE, and imaging modalities (XR, US, MRI, CT, Nuclear, Mammo, EKG).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to evaluate economic feasibility and time requirements for system changes.
Excellent documentation skills.
Effective oral and written communication; ability to present solutions in business language.
Self‑drive and strong organizational skills; able to work independently and on team projects. Able to work flexible hours for 24/7 operations and travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) and other imaging infrastructure.
Experience in an academic medical center environment.
Licenses / Certifications
Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). Must obtain and maintain open before expiration if not already qualified.
Compensation Annual base salary range: $95,680.00 – $158,230.00.
