Overview

Wake Forest University School of Medicine invites applications to fill an open rank, tenure track position for an individual studying the intersection of biological aging and chronic disease. The candidate will join a leading translational research program seeking to improve human health through a deeper understanding of aging biology, with particular interest in aging of key physiologic systems, geroscience, intervention development, and bioinformatic applications. Responsibilities

Develop, lead, and maintain a robust, internationally recognized research program focused on aging and chronic disease. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary translational research team across the translational spectrum. Contribute to teaching and mentoring of students and trainees. Support an inclusive culture that welcomes diversity of experience and thought. Engage in intervention development guided by mechanistic understanding of aging and apply bioinformatic approaches where applicable. Qualifications

Candidates should hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field. Successful candidates will be expected to grow and sustain a robust research program, participate in team science, and contribute to teaching and mentoring.
