Pay Range Base pay: $20.65/hr - $23.23/hr. Salary will be based on skills and experience.

Location: Starting Pay: $20.65 – $23.23/hour. Status: Full‑time | Immediate Hire. Schedule: Open availability required (including all shifts, weekends, and holidays).
Responsibilities
Monitor and operate track switches to ensure proper alignment for railcar movement.
Inspect track conditions and switch points to identify any issues affecting safe operation.
Couple and uncouple railcars (and air hoses) as part of train assembly or disassembly.
Replace damaged or broken railcar connectors (≈ 75 lbs).
Communicate with train crews and yard personnel to ensure coordinated rail movements.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards in a high‑traffic rail environment.
Required Qualifications
2–3 years of rail experience desired.
Switching or conductor experience preferred.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices.
Reliable, punctual and strong work ethic.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs off and on railcars.
Must pass a pre‑employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
Drug screen required. The Federal Railroad Administration enforces safety regulations and prohibits cannabis use.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in rail yard or switching operations.
Familiarity with rail safety protocols and procedures.
Training in railcar or track maintenance is a plus.
