Overview
We are seeking an experienced
SEC Reporting Manager
to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing all external financial reporting requirements, including SEC filings, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, attention to detail, and experience working in a public company environment. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review all SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required filings Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all external financial reporting Monitor and implement new accounting standards (ASC updates) and SEC regulations Coordinate with external auditors to support quarterly reviews and annual audits Partner with internal teams, including accounting, legal, and investor relations, to ensure consistent and accurate disclosure Prepare supporting documentation, tie-outs, and disclosure checklists Manage XBRL tagging and filing process Assist with the preparation and review of earnings releases, investor presentations, and other public-facing financial materials Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR/SOX compliance) Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases, and business combinations Lead and mentor junior staff as needed Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required 5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or SEC reporting in a public company Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency with financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel; Workiva or similar SEC filing software a plus Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills
Experience in a public company, ideally for a REIT Familiarity with SOX controls and compliance Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines Take the next step in your career journey in Irvine, California.
