Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client on the north side of Indianapolis near Carmel in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a full time, direct hire position paying $24-30/hr. If you feel you would be a good fit, apply today!
This position will work a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Process outgoing payments Complete payments and controlexpenses Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation. Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients. Generate reports detailing accounts payables status. Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos. Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Reimburse employees by receiving and verifying expense reports Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Maintain historical records by updating trackers and filing documents. 1099 data preparation. Maintain responsibility for the AP. Job Requirements:
2-5+ of experience in bookkeeping, or accounts payable/accounts receivable work, or currently studying accounting in a degree program. Experience with expense accounts and cost centers Understanding of compliance issues related accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax) Knowledge of BILL.com preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
