Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. As an HR Coordinator, Operations, you will provide essential support to plant leadership and employees by coordinating key HR processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company and quality standards. This role involves assisting with payroll, benefits, training, and onboarding, while fostering clear communication across teams. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and a dependable administrative partner to management, helping to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the HR Manager and Unit Manager to support employee performance, attendance, and conduct matters.

Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on personnel activity, including open positions, interviews, and separations.

Perform general front desk duties, including welcoming guests, answering calls and emails, directing inquiries, and providing overall administrative and office support.

Coordinate and document employee relations meetings and disciplinary discussions while maintaining confidentiality.

Support the completion of Job-Specific and Departmental training for all new and existing employees, and maintain accurate training records in HRIS.

Assist with payroll processing via ADP Workforce Now, including timekeeping, reporting, and paycheck distribution.

Provide employees with information and support regarding benefits, paid time off, and other HR-related questions.

Collaborate with hiring managers to recruit and onboard hourly and entry-level operations roles.

Verify I-9 documentation, and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.

Ensure policies, procedures, and related forms comply with QMS (Quality Management Systems) requirements and assist with document updates as needed.

Manage internal communication programs, such as COE Boards and Safety Boards, and distribute HR reports or correspondence as requested.

Maintain organized and confidential employee files and participate in HR and PSC meetings to share updates and best practices.

Adhere to all policies, procedures and instructions as defined in our Quality Management System (QMS), Employee Handbook, Health and Safety manual, or any other instruction issued by the company.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field strongly preferred.

Availability to work early shift: Typically, from 5:30am - 1:30pm Mon-Fri with occasional various shift coverage, as needed.

Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR support experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Bilingual: English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with HRIS or timekeeping systems preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
