Right of Way (ROW) Agents – Utility Sector Key Responsibilities: Acquire easements, permits, and licenses for utility transmission and distribution lines, substations, compressor stations, or broadband routes Negotiate with landowners, municipalities, and regulatory bodies Review engineering drawings, plats, parcel maps, and survey data Assist in permitting and encroachment resolution with utility companies and DOTs Ensure all acquisitions comply with state utility commission and federal (FERC, FCC) requirements Assist in condemnation and/or expropriation process when applicable Qualifications: 2+ years of ROW acquisition experience in utility sector (electric, gas, water, telecom) Working knowledge of utility ROW standards and eminent domain process Familiarity with transmission corridors, public utility easements, or FERC/FCC regulations IRWA certification or AAPL accreditation preferred Title Abstractors – Utility Projects

Key Responsibilities: Perform full surface title searches for utility corridor development Identify easements, rights, restrictions, and encumbrances affecting utility construction Research courthouse records, tax assessments, right-of-way dedications, and condemnation history Work closely with ROW agents to ensure accurate ownership and encumbrance information Qualifications: 2+ years of title abstracting experience, preferably utility-focused Familiarity with metes and bounds, GIS plat overlays, and tract indexing systems Ability to conduct courthouse and online title searches efficiently Broadband/fiber or electric utility project experience preferred Records Specialists – Utility Land Documentation

Key Responsibilities: Maintain, organize, and track ROW and title records in accordance with utility compliance standards Input landowner data, tract info, easement agreements, and permitting documents into project databases (e.g., SharePoint, Excel, or GIS systems) Ensure QA/QC of all documentation prior to utility company submission Coordinate document control with engineering, legal, and construction teams Qualifications: 1+ year of experience managing utility project documentation High attention to detail, strong document control or records management background Prior utility ROW project support strongly preferred What We Offer
