Job Description As a Security Professional Unarmed Telecom Patrol in Arlington, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This part‑time role allows you to use our exclusive "Claim a Shift" platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media environment, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with people on site, and providing outstanding customer service and communication.

Job Schedule: Fri 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM Sat 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM Sun 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, utilizing training and protocols provided by Allied Universal.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help deter potential risks and maintain a secure environment.

Document and report any incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance needs to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.

Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors.

What We’re Looking For

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available

Minimum Requirements

At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Experience with X‑ray screening is preferred.

CPR certification is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
