What to Expect Job Responsibilities include collaborating with a team to design and implement state-sponsored energy efficiency projects for affordable multifamily buildings, identifying funding sources to maximize project impact and communicate opportunities to building owners/operators, conducting meetings with program participants to understand their needs and develop tailored financing strategies, assisting in creating and deploying marketing campaigns to promote program participation, and preparing and presenting summary reports for program management and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team to design and implement state-sponsored energy efficiency projects for affordable multifamily buildings
Identify funding sources to maximize project impact and communicate opportunities to building owners/operators
Conduct meetings with program participants to understand their needs and develop tailored financing strategies
Assist in creating and deploying marketing campaigns to promote program participation
Prepare and present summary reports for program management and stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy, or Environmental Policy
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting multifamily deals with LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, and/or HUD programs
Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles and their value in affordable multifamily housing
Familiarity with federal, state, local, and utility-sponsored incentive programs and regulations
Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Finance or Urban Planning
Experience managing complex multifamily financing deals involving LIHTC and HUD programs
Expertise in braiding or stacking multiple funding sources for energy efficiency projects
Practical experience applying energy efficiency strategies in affordable housing
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software
