Our global EPC Firm client is hiring a Graphic Designer for a part-time 6-month contract opportunity in their Kansas City, , office.
Overview The Part-Time Graphic Designer will create and manage high-quality digital and print design materials across the environmental practice to support new business pursuits, marketing campaigns, and brand initiatives. This role collaborates closely with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling visual content that aligns with company branding and effectively communicates key messages.
Responsibilities
Design and produce creative, strategic graphic solutions for print and digital deliverables, ensuring all work is on-brand, on-time, and on-budget.
Support business development pursuits and internal marketing efforts through creative design concepts and high-impact visuals.
Manage projects from concept through completion, including design development, layout, and production.
Prepare final art and production-ready files following established quality control processes.
Collaborate with internal clients to interpret objectives and translate written communications into effective visual designs.
Lead creative brainstorming and presentation sessions to develop innovative design approaches.
Create and format marketing materials such as brochures, statements of qualifications, placemats, and posters.
Develop engaging, visually consistent client presentations using brand templates and custom layouts.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing assets and collateral.
Utilize emerging and AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, generative layout software) to enhance creativity and productivity.
Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or Visual Communication with
7+ years
of related experience; or
Associate’s Degree with
9+ years
of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of color theory, layout principles, and production techniques.
Skilled in conceptualization, visual storytelling, and transforming complex ideas into clean design.
Familiarity with AI-assisted design and productivity tools for image generation and layout optimization.
Professional Skills:
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and proofreading abilities.
Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional or virtual teams.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and creative thinking capabilities.
