The hourly range for this position is $21.40 to $22.63, based on experience. Position Description
The Painter is responsible for preparing and applying paint to interior and exterior surfaces of residential and commercial buildings. This role requires selecting and using appropriate paint finishes based on surface type and location, ensuring high‑quality, durable results that meet safety and aesthetic standards. Qualifications
Required: 1–3 years of Facilities Management experience in multi‑housing or residential facilities. Previous experience in painting is required. Preferred: High School diploma or GED. 3–5 years of Facilities Management experience in multi‑site housing or residential facilities. Required License/Certification
Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a safe personal vehicle, and hold car liability insurance. Vehicle mileage will be reimbursed. Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm OR 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours per week). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
Knowledge of painting in residential and commercial spaces. Time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Initiative and self‑direction. Basic computer skills for invoicing, email, and work‑order documentation. Customer‑service skills with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude. Knowledge of safety practices related to maintenance, equipment, and chemicals. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Drywall and carpentry skills to support preparation and repairs for paint projects. Environmental Working Conditions
Position works in office, residential, and outdoor environments. Required to work in hot and cold outdoor environments, with potential exposure to dust, odors, and noise. Expected Contributions
Paint the exterior and interior of the organization’s projects. Execute preparation activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking adjacent surfaces. Complete and document all service and maintenance requests promptly. Ensure vacant units are prepared and ready for move‑in. Maintain inventory for cost‑effective operations. Adhere to all safety standards and regulations. Coordinate and monitor contractor work at assigned buildings. Communicate work‑status updates to Facilities Management and Property Management. Protect trim, flooring, furniture, and other surfaces with painter’s tape and drop cloths. Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, look at a computer screen for several hours a day, and sit or stand for long periods. Reports To
Facilities Management. Position Designation
This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and may require drug testing. The organization reserves the right to disqualify applicants based on marijuana test results.
