Virtual Sales Engineer (VTS) - Southwest (Remote) Join Leybold as a Virtual Sales Engineer! Be the single point of contact for customers, driving sales in open territories and re‑engaging lapsed accounts. Reporting to the Customer Success/Virtual Sales Manager, you will facilitate seamless interactions between sales and technical teams to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Act as the principal liaison for customers engaged in pre‑ and post‑sale activities.

Own your designated territory, including re‑engaging lapsed service customers to drive revenue and enhance satisfaction.

Serve as the primary contact, guiding customers through the sales process and ensuring timely, accurate information.

Collaborate with outside sales personnel to ensure comprehensive support across all service lines.

Follow up on leads generated through marketing efforts and provide requested quotes for the Service Business Line.

Deliver an overview of all Service Products and demonstrate product benefits.

Proactively manage open territory and revitalize relationships with lapsed customers to boost sales initiative.

Collaborate with applications and tech support teams to propose tailored product alternatives aligned with customer needs.

Identify opportunities for cross‑selling additional Leybold products, including field services and service contracts.

Enhance overall satisfaction of business lines through improved performance and operational efficiency.

Promote sustainable practices by reducing commuting and reducing our environmental footprint.

Maintain meticulous customer databases and document all interactions using the CRM system.

Engage in lab and factory visits to gain deeper understanding of operations and products.

Uphold company culture that nurtures early‑career professionals and aligns with company values.

Leverage in‑office work for immediate support and guidance, facilitating faster learning.

Complete additional duties as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications

Prior experience of 1‑3 years in technical sales, business development, or a related field is advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical field, plus relevant business or marketing knowledge.

Experience with vacuum equipment or technical product sales is a plus.

Familiarity with CRM applications is preferred.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office suite.

Customer‑centric approach and ability to thrive in collaborative, dynamic teams.

Critical‑thinking abilities and attention to detail.

Adaptability and strong teamwork skills.

Self‑starter with strong work ethic, eager to learn and grow.

Fluency in Spanish is an asset.

Valid driver’s license required.
