Job Description Delaware Valley Job Corps is an education and training center located in beautiful Callicoon, NY. We use student‑focused programs to ensure successful training and employment placement for each individual we serve. We are looking for exceptional employees to join our team of professionals and help shape the lives of our 16‑24 year old students by providing a safe and secure learning environment.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff.

Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences.

Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure no manipulation of student data.

Assist Safety & Security Department to maintain a secure Center environment.

Investigate all accidents/incidents under the direction of management and prepare required reports, recommending corrective action.

Conduct routine safety inspections and assessments of all Center equipment and facilities to identify potential safety and security hazards.

Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards.

Conduct and document incident and accident investigations per established timelines and requirements.

Conduct routine Center‑wide security tours and assist with monitoring and supervision of students.

Respond to emergency situations and requests.

Maintain the security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property.

May assist dorm staff in conducting dorm inspections and searches for contraband.

Provide residential, recreation and transportation assistance as required.

Produce quality work and complete assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.

Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.

Plan, prioritize and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.

Apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities and proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties.

Mentor, monitor and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.

Provide high‑quality supervision and management for the student population, taking swift and appropriate action to positively influence student behavior.

Provide quality programs and services for students and ensure that quality is maintained to meet student needs.

Exchange ideas and information in a clear and concise manner and contribute meaningfully to group efforts.

Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas, identify problems, analyze causes and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follow up to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken.

Work in partnership with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.

Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer or Shift Manager to perform temporary job responsibilities of other departments and positions.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Advanced degrees preferred.

Prefer experience with Job Corps or related program.

Must possess a valid in‑state Driver’s License and meet company insurability requirements.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop and crouch. Must be able to lift 40 pounds or be able to assess the load and request assistance.
