APPEAL COORDINATOR, PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES

Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our WOODLAND PRIME 400 facility. This job is REMOTE.
FTE: 1.0. Standard Hours: 40.00. Shift: 1st.
Job Summary Responsible for coordinating appeals for retrospective medical necessity and preauthorization denials by federal and commercial payors. Works with the medical staff, Case Management and Revenue Cycle Departments to appeal denials and develop and implement process improvements to prevent future denials. Other duties as assigned.
Experience
A minimum of three years healthcare experience with exposure to working with third party payers and medical necessity and authorization requirements required.
Experience in denial management is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Allied Health, Nursing or related field is required.
In lieu of degree, minimum 5 years direct experience analyzing data within patient's medical record and using that data to file medical necessity appeals.
Special Skills
Experienced user of Word and Excel required.
Compensation, Benefits & Perks At Froedtert Health Pay is expected to be between $24.45 - $41.08 per hour. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
