Job Overview Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Sr. Principal Material Analyst (EVMS) to join our team of diverse professionals. This role supports a team‑based material organization and performs activities in a variety of cross‑functional areas, including materials planning, total quality management, procurement, supplier quality assurance, finance, materials systems, customer service, and more. The incumbent may facilitate self‑directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas, and interact with internal customers and suppliers regarding product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Risk and opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and working in cross‑functional teams
Developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans
Creating, managing, and executing material program strategy and the material program plan
Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
Developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates
Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS
Developing and tracking budgets, targets, working capital, initiating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short‑range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating plans, and annual operating plans (AOP)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related professional experience — or a Master’s degree with 6 years of related professional experience
Experience with supply chain and related systems, procurement, production control/material planning, receiving, cost estimating, logistics, and/or finance
Leading in an IPT environment
Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management
Prior work experience developing and executing risk/opportunity plans to meet program goals
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in supply chain within the Aerospace Defense industry
Experience translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Experience interfacing with external customers and all levels of internal organization
Experience with MRP systems and/or tools such as SAP, Cognos, and Tableau
High degree of financial acumen
Knowledge of U.S. government acquisition laws and regulations
Experience supporting/leading proposal efforts
Salary and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $108,400.00 – $162,600.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
